The portable products designers face challenges, not only in product size minimized, but also in cost, performance indicators etc.., using the high-speed serial data interface and reducing semiconductor manufacturing layout is very necessary. However, this small component is more easy to damage by electrostatic caused by low voltage and current. In addition, for the low capacitance ESD protection devices which used in high-speed data transmission, the dynamic resistance will becomes large while the capacitance reduces, which will make their ability to protect sensitive IC deteriorated. Therefore, the more functions for the mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, PDAs… etc. provided, the more I/O ports will be increased, it will lead to electrostatic discharge (ESD) into the system and interfere or damage the integrated circuits.
